This course will focus on the product lifecycle from its inception through development to the end-user. Topics covered will include:

  • Determining the opportunity through understanding of consumer research and the customer voice
  • Competition analysis
  • New product development including idea, concept, design and testing
  • Target market
  • New product development including idea, concept, design and testing
  • Product life cycle and portfolio management
  • Product development across multiple industries and process methodologies
  • Product costing, pricing, and strategic sourcing
  • Customers, channels and channel conflicts
  • Product launch, marketing, and performance monitoring

About This Course

Product Development & Management is the initial course in the Global Supply Chain graduate certificate. It is also a required course for MBA students completing an MBA with a Global Supply Chain specialization. It may be taken as a single course for those students looking to gain an in-depth understanding of product development management. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, you are encouraged to register and we will follow up to confirm your registration. Tuition per course is $3510 and will be invoiced the first week of class. You will earn three graduate credit hours upon successful completion of this course.


We prefer to offer a face-to face attendance option for our courses; however, we are committed to following CDC and governmental guidelines during the COVID19 crisis. We will return to offering the face-to-face delivery when it is allowed. In the meantime, all of our courses are offered via live video conference or online.
