This course will focus on the financial challenges and complexities of the healthcare industry. Topics covered include:

- Industry-specific analytical tools
About This Course
Advanced topics in Healthcare Finance is required course for both the Healthcare Leadership Essentials Graduate Certificate and the MBA with the Healthcare Specialization. It may also be taken as an individual course. This course is designed for healthcare leaders who are faced with managing evolving models of delivery and financing of care, continually rising costs, and a value-based payment system. Students learn agility, strategic vision, and communication skills to understand and analyze the financial implications of the healthcare system, identify strategic financial opportunities and risks, and make sound business decisions to create value. Students examine the healthcare financial environment, industry-specific analytical tools, balance sheet management of both short-term and long-term assets and liabilities, integrated strategic and financial planning, risk management, and ethics. Tuition per course is $3510 and will be invoiced the first week of class. You will earn three graduate credit hours upon successful completion of this course.
We prefer to offer a face-to face attendance option for our courses; however, we are committed to following CDC and governmental guidelines during the COVID19 crisis. We will return to offering the face-to-face delivery when it is allowed. In the meantime, all of our courses are offered via live video conference or online.
